Adrian Torres
Dr. Adrian Torres was born in Mexico City and grew up immersed in equine culture. He is the grandson of a charreada forecaster— Mexico’s national horse sport— and from a young age, developed a deep connection to horses. As a teenager, he regularly breezed his father's racehorses, an experience that helped spark his passion for equine medicine. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM-FMVZ) in 2017. After graduation, he began his career at an equine hospital in Mexico, where he built a solid foundation in clinical care. He later expanded his training through internships in Oregon and at San Luis Rey Equine Hospital in California, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of equine specialties. Dr. Torres is currently focused on advancing his clinical skills with the goal of pursuing a residency in equine surgery. His professional interests include soft tissue, orthopedic, and upper airway surgery. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Torres enjoys cycling and camping with his multispecies family—activities that reflect his deep appreciation for nature and his lifelong love of animals.
