Dr. Peters received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1996. Prior to that, he was a farrier for 11 years. His shoeing background gave him a strong interest in all aspects of lameness, whether it be medical, surgical or mechanical. He now primarily works with clients that have horses that are lame. He continues to increase his knowledge in that area through continuing education and reading. It is a never-ending quest to remain on the cutting edge of the latest treatment and diagnostic protocols to best treat our equine partners when they have lameness issues.

Outside of work, he spends most of his available time with his family. The newest addition is their grandson Russell, who is an immense source of joy to both of them. He and his wife Rachel also compete in Team Roping….He has also been accused of sneaking away with a fly rod whenever the opportunity presents itself.
