DVM Intern
Liz Cheyne
Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Cheyne grew up in rural southern Oregon and has followed a strong educational path within the state, completing her first two years of undergraduate studies at Linn-Benton Community College before earning both her bachelor's degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University.
As she begins her internship, Dr. Cheyne is especially excited to gain extensive hands-on experience in lameness diagnostics and treatment, as well as reproductive medicine during the upcoming breeding season. She is eager to learn from the talented team at McKinlay & Peters and to take advantage of every opportunity to expand her clinical skills and knowledge across all areas of equine practice.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Cheyne is currently completing an equine massage therapy certification. She enjoys riding and training horses, and she is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle through regular fitness and training at the gym. She looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients, patients, and colleagues while continuing to grow as an equine veterinarian.
